Commercial transactions

This involves the following:

  1. Compliance: identifying different changes in law and notifying clients in relation to these changes to ensure that the Client's business activities are in accordance with the law.
  2. Business documentation: this includes drafting and negotiating various business related contracts, such as procurement, distribution, general terms of business and conditions of sale or purchase.
  3. Collaborations: we are able to collaborate with our clients and give advice on various matters relating to joint venture transactions, tax liabilities, employment and any other implications of business structuring.
  4. Business formation: through our affiliation with the firm of Shalin Gor and Company, we are able to provide assistance on all aspects of establishing a business and the subsequent operational requirements of a business in Kenya. We also provide support in relation to policy formation, updating of licenses and any other compliance requirement of the company, based on individual industry assessments.

Mediation and negotiation

As part of our growth, we have conducted various trainings on both, negotiation and mediation. Negotiation involves only the parties, and mediation involves the intervention and assistance of a third party (the mediator) as a facilitator in the parties’ effort to resolve their dispute. We continue to conduct professional development on the same and are happy to assist our clients with any manner of dispute resolution.
